Lord I Need You

Tonight I taught the Confirmation class for our 6th and 7th graders.  Tonight's class focused on God's grace.  We looked at various illustrations explaining grace.  We had some good discussion about the three movements of grace that the United Methodist Church focuses on (prevenient, justifying, sanctifying).

Following class, Drew and I met for dinner.   On my way home, I grabbed my phone and put on the song Lord I Need You.

I sang along quietly as I began my journey home.  Then as I hit the home stretch, I just let it loose. God's amazing power always stuns me.  I mean tonight, of all nights, I heard these words...

Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me.

We serve a God who is in the details and who is orchestrating all things great and small.  Thankful for the grace that is more- for that undeserving gift.  Happy Sunday!
