a song that touches my heart (#20)

I believe God speaks to us in many ways- through scripture, people, songs, our surroundings, etc.  Yesterday, God spoke to me in many ways.  It was a rough day of being faced with the reality of my grandmother being gone.  We had our Hughes family reunion where they honored her memory.  And our family (my Mom, sister, Aunt Lynn, Uncle Tom, and I) visited my grandmother's grave.  It was an emotional day.

As I was driving home to Winston this David Crowder song came on the radio and it spoke volumes to me.  The song is Come As You Are.  The opening goes like this:

Come out of sadness
From wherever you’ve been
Come broken hearted
Let rescue begin
Come find your mercy
Oh sinner come kneel
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal

As it came on, I sobbed.  And then I continued to hear over and over Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can't heal.  What a gift that truly is.  Take a listen to the song- I promise it will be worth it.
